Which type of record do I need?

• Certified List of All Accidents and Violations on Record (Type 3A): certified version of Type 3. This record is acceptable for Defensive Driving Course (DDC).
• Status Record (Type 1): name, date of birth (DOB), license status, and latest address.
• 3-year History Record (Type 2): name, DOB, license status, list of accidents and violations on record within past 3-year period.
• List of All Accidents and Violations on Record (Type 3): name, DOB, license status, list of all accidents and violations on record.
• Certified 3-year History record (Type 2A): certified version of Type 2. This record is not acceptable for Defensive Driving Course (DDC).
• Certified Abstracts of Driving Record (Type AR): Certified abstract of complete driving record of a license holder.

Refunds

Texas DPS Record (TDPSR) will offer a refund on any driving record that cannot be obtained within 7 business days of the order date. Although rare, in some cases, State system maintenance will prevent Texas DPS Record (TDPSR) from obtaining your driving record in a timely matter. Texas DPS Record (TDPSR) will make every effort to complete your order as soon as it is received, but will not offer a refund of any rush fees paid due to circumstances beyond the control of Texas DPS Record (TDPSR). No refunds will be offered for any driving record that has been ordered, or obtained on behalf of the any user by Texas DPS Record (TDPSR), nor will any refund be authorized for any driving record that was ordered in error (i.e wrong driving record ordered, etc). Further, no refund will be offered for any rush email or FedEx delivery if the email is returned or FedEx cannot deliver the record for any reason i.e wrong email or delivery address given by user ordering the driving record).

FedEx deliveries occur M-F and delivery times can be as late as 8pm CST, although typical delivery is closer to 12 pm CST. FedEx will not deliver on Saturdays or Sundays nor will pickup or deliver on holidays. Any delivery that would occur during Saturday, Sunday or a holiday shall occur on the next available business day.
